                           UKHRUL SIROI HILL

Ukhrul is a distric in manipur I.e, situated in the north east side of the India.

The shiroi hill is famous because of the flower that blooms in the shiroi hills.               

The Shirui lily or Siroi lily (Lilium mackliniae) is a rare Indian species of plant found only in the upper reaches of the Siroi hill ranges in the Ukhrul district of Manipur, India, at an elevation of 1,730–2,590 metres (5,680–8,500 ft) above sea level. It is located near the boundary of Myanmar to the east, Shiroi village in the west, Choithar village in the south and Sihai village in the north.

This shade-loving lily has pale bluish-pink petals but has seven colours when observed through a microscope. In the wild it flowers in the monsoon months of June and July. They are seasonal flowering plants and at their best in May and June when it blooms.[1] The peak season of its bloom is May 15 to June 5. The height of the plant is 1–3 feet (0.30–0.91 m). and has one to seven flowers per plant.

Its unique characteristic is that you can’t plant this flower in any part of the world other than Siroi hill.
Inspite of this unique flower the shiroi hills is full of amazing views that will make you forget all the tiredness.
I gurenty your 18 gb camera memory card will not be sufficient to take picture of the shiroi hills and its unique lilly.
In the ukhrul market you can get many varieties of meat like fresh and dried. The tribes from the ukhrul district sell many meats including monkey flesh as I experiance this personally, I dont try to eat though.
So, the point is if you visit MANIPUR, Ukhrul is one of the good place to drop by for 2/3 days.

plant a tree

India specially in Kolkata climate is getting hotter and hotter day after day. A day will come where peoples cannot live without using A.C. or cooler.
Peoples have to awake and start plantng trees. I think its a one effects of globle warming.

Loughing is the best medication to prevent all kind of stress and depression.
